Tips for Players
Talk it out with your team
What we see a lot is that players communication can be, troublesome. A lot of teams either don’t talk much or at all, some teams spend the whole time shouting and arguing and some teams just develop an immediate leader who’s too serious which kinda kills the vibe. It’s supposed to be a fun activity with friends or family or a team building exercise with work. Communication is vital. While listening to one another is absolutely crucial, it’s also good to talk out what you’re thinking, seeing and doing. If you find a clue, read it out to everyone. If you find a padlock, whether it takes a key or combination, say what it is, where it is and what it needs.
Investigate the room
When we design the rooms, we don’t want too make things too easy for you. We add props for aesthetics, red herrings to confuse you and we stagger and hide puzzles and clues. We try our best to make sure the room is immersive so things may not be all too obvious. What we suggest is to check the whole room and see what you can find in terms of locks and possible puzzles. Even if you can’t get to things immediately, take note of where things are and what you might need for them.
Player etiquette
Your Game Master is here to help you on the day. Please do listen to them during the introduction talk but also remember when you’re in the room, that they’re a person behind the screen giving you help. Try not to be rude or unkind.

When you’re finished with a puzzle, if you could leave the things you needed roughly where you found them or where you used them it would be a big help when resetting the room afterwards.

Before you leave the room, check your pockets. Sometimes in the excitement of it all, things go into pockets and aren’t found until later on. We know it’s not intentional but we’d rather our things didn’t go walk about on us.
